    National Dealers Warranty

I called National Dealers Warranty yesterday, a company that is being advertised on several local radio stations, after being asked to be given details via e-mail to avoid a hard sale.  I got an e-mail back saying they thought they had the perfect plan for me.  My car is very high miles, but since I hadn't put all those miles on there, they could help me out.  The person who explained the plan to me rattled off a list of things (and a rather limited one) that it would cover, so quickly I couldn't write them down.  And I didn't know what most of them were.  It would go ahead and cover it for up to 240K miles.  All this for $400-$500 a year.  But this offer was only good for the duration of the phone call.  He would need a down payment of $395.  I told him I didn't have that sort of money accessible to me.  He said well, what about a credit card.  I told him again, I do not have that much money available to me in any shape or form.  He said well, how about an emergency credit card?  What part of I have no money at the moment does he not understand?  I told him look, I have $18.21 in my checking account right now, and my credit cards only have about $25.00 each on them.  His reply was I know, I'm on a budget too, but consider the small payment of $395 versus paying thousands in repair bills.  This guy is obviously dumb as a rock, and I have told him several times thank you, but I cannot do this, have a nice day.  I finally had to hang up on him.
